Join the Adventure – Winter Tour Guides Wanted!
Ready for an unforgettable winter in the Arctic? We’re looking for guides to join the Polar Explorer Icebreaker team for the 2025–2026 season!
Location: Axelsvik port, Kalix, Northern Sweden
Season: Late November to early April
As a guide, you’ll welcome international guests on board, give guided tours, help with the ice swimming activity, and assist with photo sales. Cruises last 2–3 hours, and during peak season we run up to three per day. Full training provided!
We’re looking for people with tourism experience, a great attitude, and strong English skills. A valid permit to work in Sweden is required.

We’re looking for a photographer to join our team for the upcoming winter season 2024 – 2025.
Season starts at the first week in December and last untill by mid-April. Job location is in Kalix (Northern Sweden). The ship is located at Axelsvik port, ca 23km from Kalix city.
We’re looking for a photographer with experience in tourism, particularly with Asian customers, who has a positive attitude towards multicultural guests. Our photographer needs to be very social and team-oriented. Good English skills are needed.
Tasks include taking photos of passengers during swimming time, capturing the scenic beauty, and providing passengers with memorable photographs of their experience. Experience in photography, knowledge of operating a camera, and the ability to take photos in challenging visibility conditions are required. We are providing equipments needed.

We are looking for two tourist guides, who speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese to join our team for the winter season 2024-2025. Season starts at the first week in December and last untill by mid-April. Job location is in Kalix (Northern Sweden). The ship is located at Axelsvik port, ca 23km from Kalix city.
We’re looking for two guides with experience in tourism (mostly with Asian customers) and who has a positive attitude towards multicultural guests. Our guide needs to be very social and teamwork oriented. It is very important to us to keep a positive atmosphere on board since part of our work is to make our passengers feel comfortable and happy while cruising with us.
Cruises take 3 hours and during the high season we have two cruises per day. Tasks include giving the welcoming info to passengers, make short guide tours on board and dress the passengers for swimming activity. Also helping in our cafeteria and shop persona during the busiest season. We are providing a good guide training prior to the season start. For positions fluent Mandarin Chinese and good English are mandatory. Also existing permit to work in Sweden is required.

Join our international crew on board the Polar Explorer Icebreaker this coming season!
We are looking for a chef to join our team. Job location is in Northern Sweden, the ship is located at Axelsvik port (23km from Kalix city).
Season starts the first week in December and we finish by mid-April. We´re looking for someone with a positive attitude willing to work in an international workplace . It is very important to us to keep a positive atmosphere on board since part of our work is to make our passengers feel comfortable and happy while cruising with us. Cruises take 3 hours and some days we have double cruises per day.
Tasks include cooking lunch/sandwiches for our passengers, lunch & dinner for the crew (5-6 people) check & order supplies, check proper kitchen maintenance.
